Can anyone recommend a good digital timer that can be set by seconds?
The ones I have my lights and fuge on can only be set by 30min to 1hr marks. Im looking for something that can open and close a circuit within seconds.

An RKL will give you 4 independent timers + some other features for about $100.00.

Ray, you can get one from walmart that is digital but not sure about seconds on those. You can do it by the minute for six different times on/off. They are about $15. I have a couple of them and they work great. Just depends on how many you need, if you need a couple you might as well buy the RKL.

Although really cool
Do I want to spend $99 on a timer not really. Something to think about.

RKLs are not just timers!!!
I really enjoy mine. A little insurance for many things like power to the heater comes on when temp goes below a certain point (so if the heater ever malfunctions it just shuts off power once it goes beyond a certain temp. Kalk is dosed if pH falls below a certain point, etc. Your cabinet isn't cluttered up with several chunky timers. It's really nice!

I agree with Karin, I love mine have pumps also hooked up to them so in standby/ feed mode I just hit 2 buttons and pumps shut off and come back on automatically on preset time. also turns on off power heads for night mode to slow flow down.
