Just wanted info on them and thoughts on keeping them.....I recently purchased an Acan Lord frag along with a Rose and Blue tip Acropora, all were doing well, then the acan quickly took a downward turn and now seems all but gone as far as color....I just wanted the forums opinion, easy or hard to keep??? Also, where's the best site to go to as far as care instructions, before I try again????

Easy to keep. If its losing color, sounds like it is under too much light. Some of mine have the best color under low light.

+1 on too much light. mine are at the bottom of my frag tank and still do not color up as nicely as they should due to too much light. move them lower and into lower flow areas as well

I target feed mine with the pumps off. I use a turkey baster or large volume syringe and feed a mix of mysis and reef food.

I believe they are a very hardy species. I have 11 different acans and all are on the sand bed with the lights being 2' off the sandbed. I have them in low flow areas. I target feed 2x a week with a turkey baster and all are happy and open. :)

So is it possible to overfeed them?? I got mine on Tuesday, fed them Tuesday night, its neat to watch them open up after the lights go out, but I kinda wanna feed them tonight since I read they are varacious eaters, or should I waite for tommorrow night???

I don't think you can over feed them. Just make sure not to get tons of extra (uneaten) food in the water....or you will be changing the water. I would always feed coral frenzy first, then all the coral is ready to eat....then spot feed the bigger stuff.

Coral Frenzy??? Where can I get it?? I fed them a defrosted H2O Life Coral Food with a cube of Mysis through a turkey baster, it was neat watching them take it....Another Question, I have a white brittle star that I'm told is harmless, bu it makes me kind of uneasy watching it around the acans, should I get rid of it and if so whats the esiest way of catching it???

coral frenzy is a powder filter feeder food. Everything must love the smell, because within 10 minutes all the coral will be open ready to feed. Most sponsors keep it in stock, it's not cheap but worth it. It will last a long time. http://www.aquacave.com/coral-frenzy-coral-food-2374.html I'm not sure about the brittle star, sorry.

+1. Gabe is my source for Coral Frenzy. I don't go through very much of it, but he always seems to have some handy when I do need it. Good stuff.
