Hi All,
We have just recently added (a couple of days ago) a cleanup crew to our Nano cube, which has been through the cycle and been running now for a couple of months. Since we have added the clean up crew the water has become extremely cloudy and murky - almost like pond water very green! We tested the parameters and all is within limits for ammonia, nitriate, nitrate, pH, and salinity. We have done 2 water changes in the the past 3 days and the water is still so murky it is difficult to see the back of the tank and the live rock. Is this an algal bloom or something else? How can we get the tank water clear?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Julie

It may thru with the cycle yet. Just give it a little more time and see if it clear out.

You may have added too much to your tank at once (clean up crew). If the water is green, that gives me the impression that you had an algea bloom.

Remember, even if your tank is cycled to this point, it is still fairly new. Every time you add something to your tank, the cycle must adjust again. As well, you are working with a smaller water volume, swings are undesirable but unavoidable.

Be patient, add slowly, do water changes. It will clear.

Thank you both for your responses! We will continue to do water changes and take our time.
