Thanks to R2U, I was able to score this IMO incredible frag of zoas. I have never seen anything quite a like them. Has anyone seen these or anything similar before?

I'm debating submitting them to coralpedia and want to make sure these are not something that have been in the hobby before.

You need to think of a name in case they are new!

Really? With those soft colors they make me think more of candy.
Teebwater Cotton Candys or something

Keep in mind in this hobby buyers are still mostly young males so something with explosion/space aliens/cartoon stuff should go over well... ;)

Supernovas! I think they look more like a supernova than a nebula.

You know that nebula that is called the cat's eye or or Cat Eye The colors aren't exactly right but it's similar with the soft edges between the colors... or is the sombrelo nebula?

I googled the Cat Eye Nebula and you're right! I do see the resemblance! I stand by my original name though, Cotton Candy Supernova's. Rolls nicely off the tongue.

The colors reminded me of a gas flame on the stove...

"gas stove zoes"

Uh...

"flame under the pan zoes"

Hmmm...

"flame of the natural gas zoes"

Hm... (tapping chin thoughtfully)

"cookin with Kristy zoas"

Ah...

I don't know Kristy, sounds too kitcheny. ;-). I'd like to refer to Karin's earlier post about a male dominated hobby. :D

Ooh...
"flame of the BBQ grill zoas"

Okay, the intent is there but entirely too much use of the word "flame".

I guess I'd have to toss my vote (if permitted one) with the cotton candy zoas which allows just enough of a soft side to the male personna as to not offend the true males here... Besides we all love cotton candy, once in a while... Never in public.

That's the kind of name that you could test sobriety with.

Sweet find! I took a good look at them when they were at r2u the skirt looked white. I think you should wait a little while before you name them, it looks like they are coloring up. It looks a little like a pink elephant morph.... They are awsome looking!!! Tinker Bell Palythoas....thats my vote!!!

agree with MRs z28pwr. They look like they'll color up. Wait and show us an updated pic in a couple of weeks.

Updated pics. I saw a new polyp start to form this week. They're definitely slow growers. The colors for the most part are staying. The polyps that get direct light seem to get "bluer" where the ones with less light get more purple.
