what kind of (relatively inexpensive) powerhead do you suggest I get for my 29 gallon quarantine tank?
Critters aren't going to be in there for very long so I am just looking for something that will provide some flow. Doesn't have to be pretty or snazzy.
What kind of gph rating should I get? Ideally I'd really like to just get one (rather than or more) and call it done.

K1 or OK should be fine. Since u don't do stixs just softies and fish should be OK with those

I would think about a aquaclear filter, then if needed...add a cheaper maxi powerhead later if you need the extra flow.

I already got a CPR backpak skimmer on it. Do I really need an aquaclear filter in addition?
I even have a little bag of stuff in the bakpak for added filtration

I wouldn't think so, just change the water. Do you need flow for fish or coral?

I have a Seio 530 PH you can borrow for a while if you need to.

Thanks! I had to get some more filtration media and to reach the free shipping minimum I just added a 450 Koralia Nano Evo. Sounds like that should be enough :)
