Anyone keeping a regular naso with a blonde naso? I know they are docile but thought I would ask first.

Kevin,
Stranger things have happened...I kept two Purples together added at different times...they are notoriously a one per tank fish.

I have a Naso,Desarjini,Atlantic blue,Yellow,Blue Hippo, oh yea and a Powder blue... no problems for the last 8 months

Getting ready to sell the Desarjini and the Naso as they are the biggest in my tank right now I just hate to part with them as they are my oldest fish @ almost 2 years
I would like to see them go in a 240+...

Rob, I would actually insist on them going into a 240 or bigger...

If and when we to set the 280g back up, it will be a FOWLR with all those corals eating angels and butterflies...lol It actually has been fun having the smaller reef tank, just to figure out a way to add a chiller in an apartment. I guess I could mount it in the fireplace behind the tank....a lot of fun getting to it...

I am still debating trying both species. Since they look so similar I thought I would ask if anyone had tried keeping them, although I did have a blonde and a powder brown at one time who got along great.

Kevin,

As long as you have a way to get one out if it doesn't work out, you could try it. But I wouldn't - it's just so much of a hassle to get it back out AND you have a chance of it getting beat up in the process.

When I interduce my fish into the display I try to rearrange a few things in the display so they can re-establish terriotory seems to help...IMO

I would actually put 3 in

We have had tangs in almost all our tanks. There have been a few issues but eventually everyone gets along.

I say go for it and give it at try.

It would be cool if you can get a pair of Blonde Naso.I had severals big tangs before and i thnik the Naso tangs are the most peaceful. Never had two Naso in the same tank before though.
