Going to Aransas Pass this Weekend..

My wife and I are taking a trip to the Corpus area this weekend.

I was wondering...Is there anything I can bring back from that area to placein my tank.

Places to go, things to look for? I have a reef tank with non agressive fish.

I heard that blennies and pepermint shrimp can be found...

help? Thoughts?

take some paint thinner incase you decide to go swimming in that water, paint thinner will remove all oil from your clothes....

You need to get a fishing license! :D

You can find peps at night at the jetties. Flip rocks and flashlight them, you will see red eyes a-gleaming. If you look up Bigbird's port A trips, there's a plethora of info and pics of what other people have caught in previous years.

But, the tide here is extremely high from the storms over the last few weeks. I myself have caught blennys, seahorses and pipefish with nothing but a normal lil ole aquarium net. Get some good polarized sunglasses if ya want to try during the day. :)

I understand from a co-worker that the seaweed is bad and smells. They cut there trip short because of the mess. Hope you have more fun?
