I recently purchased a ghost ribbon eel this past week. Cool guy! I finally got him to eat frozen silversides after 4 or 5 days...The LFS I got him said the previous owner fed him frozen food. He doesnt seem to like live feeder fish or ghost shrimp. I have a snowflake eel thats not even a quarter of his size and they get along great. Just suprised the ribbon eel hasnt ate him yet (I hope he doesnt btw). The eel also is attracted to my saddle puffer...its almost like they play with one another..kinda weird.

I know these guys can be a challenge, but easier than the other ribbon eels. But I have heard if you can get them to eat and from escaping from your tank that your doing good! (He did jump out of the bucket I put him in after acclimating him...I didnt expect that. It was a challenge to catch him on the floor...pretty fast guy!

Does anybody else have one or used to? If so how well have they done for you in your aquarium? Or if anybody has any useful knowledge on eels anyhow that would be great

Eels are pretty much blind. Watch your fingers! I have been hand feeding my little snowflake named "stupid". I have been feeding him through a fan access port on the side of my canopy. It's not wise because when he lets go of mysis accidentally, he typically goes right for my fingers. Dont want to end up like that guy on youtube!

PICS OR IT NEVER HAPPENED!
