I am still debating my wrasse selection and sandbed size. Right now I have about 3" as I had a leopard wrasse. Is there a way to keep sandbed sleeping wrasses with a shallower sandbed? I would love a shallower sandbed but I am not sure of a way to do this? I want to add another leopard wrasse to the new tank once it arrives and the levels settle down.

We talked to Alton this weekend and he keeps jawfish by making several deeper mounds around on his sandbed, so maybe having deeper areas for the wrasses to hide/sleep would be good enough without having a deep sand bed all throughout the tank.

Steve kept several wrasses and gobies in his 280g with a 1" bed.

I have a coris wrasse in a BB tank, and so far it seems to be doing fine. It has only been about a month so it maybe alittle to soon to tell.

Kevin you saw my 90 when it was going. I had about 1 to 2" depth depending on where at in the tank. My Christmas wrasse was happy and I didn't have any issues. He was about 4 1/2" in length and fat.

Well this is good news as I really like the idea of a shallower sandbed in the display. I still plan on a dsb in the fuge but am going to try out the shallow sand bed in the display.
