I made a ridiculous mistake. I set up my tank with 200 lbs of sand plus the water. Everything was going great until I tried to plug in something. I blocked the outlet! So I used my dremel to cut a hole in one of the supports. Please tell me this won't cause my tank to come crashing down. It has a total of four of these planks in the back and 5 in the front. The sides are solid and the tank is a 125g.

You could always laminate another board on to it for added support, just an idea.

I plan on adding a board next to it. But that will have to wait until Saturday at least.

Would not worry support is on ends of tank most time those boards are to make you feel secure..

From my understanding, most of the wieght will be transferred to the 4 corners. I'm not a expert in this stuff though, hopefully a stand builder will jump in.

What is the chance you will ever need that 2nd outlet? You should probably go ahead and drill that one also, just in case. JMHO

My dad could help you most likely, he built my stand which supports a 100gal. If you're not too far, he could come look at it this weekend
