I'm curious if anybody has a "rolling chaeto" setup? This is how I have mine setup. From the reading I have done this seems to be the best way to grow chaeto. With this setup, it should allow for even lighting and water flow through the chaeto ball. Any opinions or advise on the subject would be cool. Thank, Stephen.

Mine is just in the fuge, not rolling. It grows like crazy with my home depot light.

Lol chris, I was thinking the same thing.

Dude,

I had read that as well and I think ti requires higher than normal flow and a bare bottom fuge. After reading about the rolling chaeto I improvised by putting my green in a position where all the water flows through it... Now the green grows super fast with the hd lamp.

I think the idea rolls inline with the way chato grows in nature since it doesn't seem to put down a root system.

Just my thoghts.

When I ran the 1200 gph pump it rolled. With the 700 gph pump it doesn't roll.
It doesn't seem to care either way. It grows the same.

Mine doubles every 2 weeks crammed into a large CPR HOB fuge with el cheapo lighting. I doubt it effects it tooooo much

It does not need to roll like a tumble weed, but turning it over every couple days or moderate current through the mass does help the algae to grow quicker.

i feel it would grow much quicker sitting still.
