My tank came with a Coralife dual timer, which has performed just fine for 2-1/2 years until last night. One of the timers is stuck in the "on" position, so I'm looking for a replacement. I'm a little hesitant to get another Coralife, though, because I've read of so many people having trouble with them. I'm running a combo light rig with MHs, actinics, moonlights and fans. I need something that can run all of those independently, and I want as few boxy timers as possible. Anybody have any suggestions for me? How are you running your light rigs?

Your story sounds exactly like mine. Well, mine only lasted a month and I went through 3, but the same lol. I use power strips and $3 timers from target

i too use the cheap timers from target and had used powerstrips in the past but could only get like 2 outlets use out of each, so I got a power squid from walmart that has made life easier and actually cut down on the power strips used.

I just spent $99 for a Digital Aquatics Reef Keeper Lite to control my lights and fans. Comes with a temp probe so in case my ac go's out my lights will shut down and protect my fish and corals. It comes in today.

+1 im about to order one today, i havent heard anything bad about them and they can be expanded to do so much more than just a timer. as everything in this hobby its nice to be able to add upgrades without buying a whole new system.
