So after posting a few times I found this forum. Guess I shoulda posted here first. Well anyways I have been in SW for 3 yrs now with my first tank being a BC 29 that I continually worked on and modded :). 2 weeks ago i brought my reef up to school with me and put all my livestock in a custom homemade all in one tank. Its a 30 long that has 2 false walls and behind them is where the magic happens. Thus my BC has been left buy the wayside empty just sitting at home. As a poor college student my reef isnt nearly as full or grown out as i would like, still looking for frags of stuff to grow and fill out the emptiness. Thats about it for now.

Glad you found this forum.

Remember we have a WTB/WTT forum. You should be able to find other members selling corals (at good prices) there.

Good luck and post pictures. :)

I moved this to the general reefkeeping forum.

Thanks the only problem with the WTB/WTT forum is that i live in College Station and only come home every so often so it would take a while for me to pick up any corals i was buying or trading for. and as soon as i get some more good tank pics ill post them

Welcome,
I looked to see if there was some type of forum up there and found this:

Reef World (http://www.merchantcircle.com/business/Reef.World.979-695-0889)

900 Harvey Rd Ste 4C
College Station, TX 77840
979-695-0889

Not sure if is still there or not, but worth a check, maybe you can get in contact with more "local" reefers :)

no that place has been closed best I can tell, drove all around that area looking for that place for like 20 minutes and the phone line is disconnected. Also pernelf.com is the forum that use to be up around here but went down in Dec before I joined and so now there is no way to contact any more local reefers. the closest place that sells SWF other than petco (ugh) is over an hr and a half away. Thanks though for tryin to help out :)

That stand took quite a transformation. Good job, looking good. How's the filtration working out so far?

its working really well, just need my skimmer to break in so i can produce some dark skim. other than that it keeps everything at 0ppm like it should be even after dumping in way too much food :)

The skimmer still isn't broken in after all that nasty goop you poured in there?

I wasn't sure about it when I saw your brand choice of skimmer. But I looked it up, it is the smallest foot print to be found.

ya i know thats why i used it and so far it works pretty well and is almost all the way broken it its just that last part of it, and it wasnt allowed to run long enough to break in in the 10 gal. Marineland says it takes 5 days to fully break in, most ppl say a month for me its been about a week . . .
