It is some sort of hair algae that is just taking over my rocks. I read correctly, can depriving the tank of any type of light what so ever take care of this?

I just did a good water change on it and covered up the tank with some old thick blankets. Should I do this for 3 days? Will it help in getting rid of the algae?

It will depend on the type of algae. The 3 days of darkness will help but in my experience it doesnt usually cure it.

Well I found a sea hare at EdAquatics, so I am going to try that out. Don't have pictures. But was at Reefs2U and that display tank he has against the wall, mine is similar to that. Jeremy said it was hair algae and that a sea hare should take care of it.

Not sure of what the cause was, I am assuming I need to change out my filters on the RODI unit.

I'll try to take pictures tomorrow.

Well I took out all of the rocks and scrubbed them individually. So I redid the aquascaping as well to get a bit of a different look in the tank as to make it appear a little more open.
