Looking for Newsletter & POTM Commitee

Hello Everyone, :bigsmile:

I am looking to fill a few spaces we have available for the Newsletter & POTM Committee. If you are interested in volunteering your time for either of the committees listed above please feel free to post your interest in this thread & I will get back with you just as soon as I can.

If you would like to submit articles, question & answers, pictures etc for the newsletter,you may do so at any time.

I can volunteer my time for something but I'd like to know what exactly I would be expected to do before I commit to anything. :D

Hi Karin, :)

The Newsletter Committee will help in searching/soliciting for articles, ideas, editing as well as working together with other committee members to create a successful & interesting Newsletter for all our members to enjoy.

The POTM Committee will help in deciding what the topics will be for the following months and or for the remainder of the year. To allow members a good amount of time to take their pictures for any month of their choice. :)

Also, the committee will help in creating the necessary threads on a monthly basis for the time of the contest.

2 questions:
a) is there an archive for the previous newsletters? (moduled jump - newsletter just gets me to a subscription page)
b) are POTM commitee members allowed to participate in the contest?

You know I'm willing to help with either, Eve -- schedule permitting, of course. I'm willing to join either comittee, just tell me where you need me :D

The Newsletter has its own forum in the front office. :) All conversations, edits, submissions of articles etc, will be place in that area for the specific month that we are working on.

As a POTM committee & Charter member the decision will be up to you. However, I have only submitted 1 picture in the last year. As I am the current chair person for the contest. I really haven't made any further submissions since. :)

Glad to help! My schedule is usually pretty concrete -- I work from 10p to 9a, Sun thru Thurs... When I get off Thurs morning, i'm usually free from then on. As long as that can be adapted to, I'm go :)

Yup it sure can! :) If you can log on to MAAST and spend a little time working on the newsletter and anything it needs that would be perfect. :)
