This is a STUNNING fish. His (it HAS to be a he...) are outstanding. My lousy point-and-shoot camera does not do this fish justice.
With that being said. This fish needs to be in a tank of large volume. 175 or above. Over 200 is better. Over 250 would be even better. He is... agressive. Eats out of your hand - eats anything and everything. But really does not play well with similar, smaller tangs. Seems to do OK with the yellows - but there are 3 of them, and he can't count that high.

Definitely looks like a beauty...i want "him" but my tank is only 120gl...do you think he'd adapt to a smaller tank and/or would you want him in a smaller tank?

As much as I'd like to say yes... This is a fish for a BIG tank. He's a tough guy. If he were more mild mannered, I'd be asking $200. It really takes the "right" tank for this guy.

bill is very particular about where his fish go and if it says 175 or bigger that means that.

I understand...BIM i only have 58 posts and recently became charter mbr...so i'm slowly getting to know the MAAST community...it will take me time to know the particulars of some mbrs...in the end, it never hurst to ask.
I hope to move up to a bigger tank (200+)...once my wife gives me permission :-)

This is a classic myth. Been around for maybe 40 or 50 years. Instead of growing, they just die instead!
He was about 3" when I got him from B & B (now Reefs 2 you).
And no, it never hurts to ask. As folks know, I'm particular about my livestock. From my other post on Yellow Tangs - they are our pets. When you see livestock from me, it's generally underpriced, but then I get to choose who gets it.

What type of fish can he go with.
I have a hippo tang, purple tang, yellow tank
christmas wrase, potters angle, blue face angle, 2 clowns
clown triger in a 215. will he get along with them?
If so I might be interested

Ok, being honest, Don...
No. I'd love to sell him to you - since you are buying the lights. But, he won't get along with the Hippo at all. Hippo will go even more wacko than normal. Yellows he'll chase. If there is only one, probably kill. Purple, maybe, but likely not. Blue Face - yes. They will rule the tank together. He really needs a bigger tank, or one without big tangs.

Why don't you get him his own tank then...LOL...that's what I'd do.
