Well, many thanks to Jarob for helping me take EVERYTHING out of my tank today to catch my FAT flame angel who was picking at my clam too much, and in the process, we completely re-worked my rock to give an entire new aquascape to my tank. I really like the results and it gives me way more room for adding frags, and I have much more sand as well.

Yes, a good idea, but since I am moving everything into the big tank eventually, I would like to just keep the guys healthy and growing, then once I setup big tank, I would definitely take your advice to clean it up a bit and trim the frag plugs, but hopefully they will be grown over by then! ;-)

I hate the look of frag plugs, personally... I pop anything off them and glue em down if its feasable.. I'd rather frag off a smaller chunk of rock later than have the little concrete shafts everywhere... :)

I usually just dremel off the post part.
I like the shelf/ledge you incorporated in. The underside of the ledge and the rock on the bottom are screaming to have some nice palys or zoas placed on it to grow out.Overall it really looks good.

I think it looks pretty good; I'm not a fan of the frag plugs but I defiantly get why you would use them if your planning a tank change. looks a little 'open' to me at the moment but I think it will fill in well.

I'm cool with frag plugs. I like the tank! It looks nice.
Frag plugs are temporary anyways...it's like waiting for a cycle, or waiting for purple coralline...the coral will grow over it as everyone knows but even better yet...when the coral does grow over it and around it, you can take the plug/disc off and you got yourself a frag to trade or to ADD to the Frag Exchange program! not to mention frag plugs break easily when you cut them...giving you more frags to trade or add to the program.
Thanks for sharing pics!

Guys,
IN my mind, you could almost consider this tank a frag tank, just trying to keep things healthy and growing until I fill up the big tank. Once I setup the big tank, I plan for it to be a thriving aquarium for many years, this is where I will remove colonies from frags and try to recreate their natural element. Hence, chill out on the frag plugs, they are temporary...
Coming Soon to the Hensley HOME with NO frag plugs:

My intentions weren't to start a debate on frag plugs :) I was just stating my opinion -- the tank looks great, otherwise would we be coming to see it in a couple days? :D
I'm guilty of keeping certain frags strategically on plugs for the same purpose -- its just the plugs themselves that I have an affinity against :)

Looks great. Got a question. How hard is it to redo your aquascape. I'm not entirely satisfied with mine currently but don't want to make a beginner's mistake and kill anything in the process. I'd like to stack rock, make a higher pile and create a little more sand space. Any comments on what you learned in your process would be appreciated. But again, your tank looks great and I'm jealous.

not hard at all, get a large rubbermaid container or several 5gal buckets, syphon water out to fill the buckets half way, and take everything out of your tank. Be careful not to cover anything, squish anything or smother something that shrinks up on the rocks.
Then, take all, or most of your fish out, and put them into several containers. After this is done rework your rock and add everything back. Since I only have a 40gal, it was pretty easy for the two of us, took less than 2 hours.
