I am looking for instructions on how to dose with Vodka. I had Ping, Pete K., come over this weekend to look at my tank due to some issues I was having. One of the issues I am having is a green algae on the glass problem. He recommended dosing with Vodka. Well I got on RC's website to find the dosing instruction's and I am unable to locate them. So can someone share the link where I can find it or share those dosing instructions with me.

I have heard of it before, but why dose w/ the vodka versus other methods to remove impurities? As far as I know there have been mixed results in the final outcome. Do a search on here - someone has tried it - I just can't remember who.

Try this, i think its the same place, just scroll down and your find all the information that he tried and his results. From what i could tell it worked but it took him 3/4's of a year to get the results he was looking for.

Cowboy -
We were strongly considering going this route several months ago and ended up not trying it. While researching it, I made notes for the amount I planned to dose for our 210g tank and also for our 20g tank. I dose quite conservatively as a rule, by the way, usually going with lower numbers than advised, and in this case going with zero.
If it would be helpful, I could send you the planned dosages that I made notes on for your comparison. I know there was quite a lot of math involved and it might be nice to check your plans against someone else's.
