I am in Dubai.. doing a year or two (prob two or three) and miss my tank. I can not have a 180 gallon tank in a flat so a nano will have to do. I have looked around and the tank price itself is very cheap here, but its the rest that is OUTRAGEOUS. I could piece everything else together and just have it shipped, but I think it will end up being more expensive.
Has anyone been stuck overseas somewhere and had a tank shipped? How did it work out for you?
Finding a fish store was not the easiest, and once I did, I couldn't believe it. For rock, he keeps nothing as he says everyone just goes and gets their own from the ocean. Fish he will order, but again, he says most people just go find alot of the small fish in the ocean lagoons for saltwater tanks. It doesnt appear like keeping a saltwater aquarium has a large following here. I have found a few through the forums. But anyways, the rock and sand. This is what was suggested of me to go do ??? Little worried about this. I can see picking up a few pieces but I wonder how much bad stuff hitch hike in on the fresh rock. ?? I just am so conditioned to think this is wrong to take things from the ocean that I am having a hard time with this.
Thanks, Jill
