Here's ours! We are thinking of painting it black! Not sure though.. Still trying to decide what to do with it color & theme wise before the new tank comes in...

It was purchased like that, but the room it was in was dark that made it look like a deep red.

This is mine. The frame for the stand was built by beareef19 (Barry) and it was skinned by me and a coworker. When building this there was no plan, just a rough idea. What you can't see from the pics there is beaded board planks on the sides. Also the doors are over 2 inch thick and there is a 5in bar that runs along the 3 sides of the tank. So far the tin in the doors seems to be holding up. I will soon be adding some updated pics since a 9 watt uv sterilizer, homemade waste collector, and a 1/10 hp chiller will make there home into the stand.

Penny I wouldn't paint it black. I really like that wood color.

Nothing fancy. Built the stand out of ply and cedar , then stained everything. Stand is custom to be higher then average and meant to have some bracing removed for easy access to sump etc to pull and clean it. Stand is about 45 inches tall. Tank is 72x18x24.

Currently in the market for a 200+ size tank and thinking of making my new stand out of metal.

I can't show mine. The only thing that distinguishes it from other is that each door has a big brass lock on it... :o

Thanks Sheri. It was the look I was going for. I hated going into the stores and finding everyithg so "contempoary" looking. Another thing about my stand it's a 36 inch tall stand. So when you combine a 36in stand and a 31in tank you have a tank that is 6ft up. Being taller, 6ft 3in, it has made viewing my tank more enjoyable.

Hubby built the large stand and the refugium on the left of the large stan, the small stand and the LED light for the Solana, and this sump.
