like the title says....anyone have any idea what/who could be laying these?....the only thing ive seen on my frag rack are asterina starfish...they werent there yesterday...just saw them today....they were also on my live rock....

See what hatches and let us know. Some corals can reproduce by sexual reproduction and those may be baby coral polyps.

i added some coral but i've had these eggcases if u wanna call em for a while now....even before i added the new coral..jus wondering if anyone knew what they were.....

I get those every so often they just stay like that until coraline grows over them. On rc they said it was a simple organism usually found in newer reefs. Mine came from when I added live rock to the tank.

They are reef safe. They said that they will eventually starve themselves out I believe.

I think they are nerite snail eggs. I've got a bunch of nerite's in my tank and I see these often.

koo...thanks for the input....now that i think of it....went to the keys in may brought snails back...looked at caribbean nerite snails and looks exactly like the ones i collected...

Wow I stand corrected just googled nerite snail eggs and you are right. Well I feel kinda bad for scraping them off the glass now. LOL

lol I have tons of those all over the place.
I indeed found out they were Nerite Snail eggs.
Sometimes I scrape them off and sometimes I let them be.
Wonder if they ever grow up... or if they get eaten...
