Anyone else up at night checking their tank out with a flashlight like myself?
I'll never forget when I first found out a reef tank doesn't sleep. The swarms of copepods, isopods, nightime filter feeders, etc keep me looking for hours after the actinics turn off.

I will always remember seeing an emerald crab that hitched a ride on a piece of LR come out at night...

Every few nights I take a silverside and cut it in half. I then stick a toothpick through it and push the toothpick into the sand. You will be amazed at what comes out to feed on it! Before I go to bed I take out the two pieces.

I get up at 4 am to check out the tank... Ok, I get up to go run but I spend the first half hour watching/feeding the night guys.
Don't tell anyone, don't let this out... but we may be nerds... shhhhh

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I'll have to try the silverside in the sand trick this week.
