Thanks, its a 55g setup w a 15g sump. Nova extreme by current 48" T5 lighting (8 bulb). Everything seems to be doing well; my water is dialed in and the corals are responding nicely. How long does it usually take to see significant growth on SPS pieces? (Generally speaking)

SPS growth depends on the type of SPS and varies from tank to tank. Keep good water quality, don't let your lights get old and monitor your water parameters along side regular RO/DI water top off and water changes. Know where your calcium is at too...I have had good results at 440-460.

If you go higher than 460, maybe 480-500, does that negatively affect the growth? Also my alkalinity stays around 11-12, would you consider that high? Everything else is great.
