One of my chromis is not looking so good today. On one of its sides the scales do not seem to be "locked" down. They are kind of separated instead of being sealed against the side of its body.

Is this some sort of infection?

The water parameters are good.

Nitrates >20ppm
Nitrites 0ppm
Ammonia 0ppm
pH 8.1
78 degrees
SG 1.021

it could be that it got stung by something (bristle worm?) overnight, probably not an infection.

Eh, its dead. I had a radiant wrasse that had the same thing happen. The radiant wrasse had it happen all over its body.
