white palys

What would make zoanthids or palys turn white and is there anything that can be done to recover their color?

depends on lighting...sometimes if the lights are to strong they can lose color...move them to the sand bed for a while...see how they do.after a few weeks move them up...then after a few weeks move them up..durring any of these moves they start to lose color again move them down again......sometiems discoloration is good...i had green zoas that were bright..put mh's on them and and started turning teal...now they actualy look preatty cool. light teal..look awesome under actinics
