i made some water about 10 days ago and i was wondering does it go "bad" like it doesn't provide the nutrients after so long ??
its been in a empty tank with powerheads

its still good, as long as you had the powerhead on providing movement

check the born on date, also dont bother if the little rocky mounties arent blue....oh wait im thinking of something else!

Ditto on that even if you dont have a pump it is good to go

I have read several posts about freshly made salt water being harsh on livestock. I always pre-make my water and let it sit a few days before adding it to my tank.

meh, that's debateable. I make 30g and swap all at once on a 75. I mix the salt with a Koralia 4 and wait for the water to be clear. Once it's clear (2 minutes) I use it. BUT, It pumps into my sump and feeds from there. I do not dump fresh SW right on to my SPS though. :bigsmile:
