i am trying to decide on what combination of t5's to get for my new tank. at this time i am leaning towards :

[2] ati 12k aquablue's (http://www.reefgeek.com/lighting/T5_Fluorescent/Bulbs/24W_12000K_Aquablue_Special_T5_HO_Fluorescent_by_A TI)
[1] ati tru actinic (http://www.reefgeek.com/lighting/T5_Fluorescent/Bulbs/24W_True_Actinic_03_T5_HO_Fluorescent_by_ATI)
[1] kz fiji purple (http://www.reefgeek.com/lighting/T5_Fluorescent/Bulbs/24W_Fiji_Purple_T5_HO_Fluorescent_by_Korallen_Zuch t)

but, since i am still not 100% sure i will go this route. i would like to see your setups. what combos do you guys use and what is the color output. i do want a darker coloration. not like pure actinics, but more blue than white.

I have a Tek fixture with all giessemann bulbs

Front:

Pure Actinic
Aquablue Plus
Aquablue Plus
Actinic Plus
Aquablue Plus
Pure Actinic

Mine looks more like a crisp 12000k Reeflux mh bulb with a good amount of actinics. I personally was going for more of a blue color like a 20000k mh bulb but my current setup is ok.

I also went bb which might make a difference in color but I don't know for sure.

yeah i have seen tanks dramatically brighten up when a white substrate is re-added to a tank.
