My new 90g is almost ready to have livestock. I want to move my bubble coral out of my 29g BC into my new tank. I'm not sure how to do this. The bubble coral's flesh has grown onto the rock where it rests. Should I cut the flesh away or just move the whole rock? There appears to be just a small section that has grown over the side of the skeleton onto the rock.

Wow. Can you move the rock with it? Probably not, or you would have thought of that!
These can be fragged - VERY carefully. Generally, it's separated a little at a time. I think I'd try cutting the flesh such that I get a new bubble, if the frag survives.

The good news is that I could easily move the rock and all. I was wondering what, if anything, that would do to my BC that it's coming out of. I will put another rock back in it's place. My 5 line sleeps in that rock so I guess he'll have to find another bed!
