Biocube Release Question

Okay, hubby and I are arguing about something and I can't find anything on the net to throw back at him. Does anyone know what year the biocube was released? I saw one for sale and laughed because the guy said it cost over $2K new with the curvy stand, a little live rock (maybe 10lbs) and some sand. Not much else in the tank.

Also, does anyone know how much they cost when they came out? My husband said it is possible to have spent that much and I just don't see it.

So...help me win this little battle. If I'm wrong...I will also admit it :bigsmile:
