I need to place another order for frozen food. I have enough to get the mix & match discount - my order is $122. We'll split the $20 shipping based upon $ volume.

THIS IS A GREAT DEAL - ORDER ENOUGH FOR SIX MONTHS OR A YEAR - I DO!

If you want in, here are the guidelines:

$30 minimum. If you want less, see if you can buddy up with someone. The logistics of these orders is such that getting orders to people makes it real hard on the person organizing the order (me). I'm not trying to be difficult, but when someone orders a $6 item and then wants me to prepay for it... Please understand.

FROZEN FOOD ONLY.

The order will close on Sunday evening the 15th.

I'm in San Antonio. You need to arrange to pick it up from me here, or I can deliver it to the boat in Corpus Christi on the weekend of the 28th.

We will likely NOT attend TMAC, unless the weather turns bad that weekend. So, delivery in San Marcos/Austin would have to be arranged by someone else. If there's enough interest, I'm sure someone will step up.

Payment will be by paypal plus shipping plus fees (bstreep@satx.rr.com), by check arriving before Monday the 16th, or if I know you AND like you ), I'll take a check or cash at pickup.

Hint: Order products from Hikari - they have about 1/2 the water of others.

Sample prices:

1 lb Mysis: $7.99
1 lb Bloodworms: $7.79
1 lb Brine Shrimp: $5.99

Hey Bill,

I will talk to Kristy and see if we want to get in on this. We do need food. Do you get the flat packs or cubes and do you mix your own? If so, how as the last time I attempted it, using a blender I ended up with soup, with too small pieces.

I buy ONLY flats. I take them all (like 20 lbs) and dump them into a salt bucket. I add RO/DI water to it, to help it melt. I take large nets, and rinse the thawed product well - the phosphates in frozen food can be high. I go back and forth between buckets. Then I ladle out food into quart ziplocks, and refreeze them into flats.

I buy brine, mysis, plankton, bloodworms.

I do the same with coral food - except that I don't rinse them. For this, I use it all: baby brine, daphnia, cyclops, phyto and zoo plankton, oyster eggs, etc. Also freeze into thin quart flats.

When using cubes (when flats are not available), keep them frozen HARD until you are ready to pop them out. I found out the hard way that thawing the cubes in the foil REALLY doesn't work.

OK, with shipping, here are the totals for everyone:

Sinner: $47.21
txav8r: $48.16
BigBird: $91.19
wesheltonj: $42.46
texreefer: $47.43
Kristy/Mike: $67.60

I tried to use the MAAST discount, but it didn't take anything off of the totals - maybe because we already had discounted items (10%).

No problem. Just keep the paypal unless you would rather have cash. Didn't want you to be out anything.
Thanks

Just received notice that they all shipped, and should be here by 3pm tomorrow (Tuesday). As I have plenty of freezer room, there's no BIG hurry to pick it up.

Hey Bill,

I can pick it up either Tuesday night or Thursday night after work. Whichever works for you. Please PM me your address and phone, so I can mapquest to your house, as Kristy has our GPS in England.

Thanks,
Mike

I could have sworn I'd posted this:

US281 N to Encino Rio (first light past 1604)

Right on Encino Rio

Go to the stop sign in front of the EZ Mart, go right on Encino Ledge.

Immediately come to a T intersection, go left on Encino Royal.

5th Left is Encino Cliff

Pass 2 cul-de-sacs, then the first real right is Encino Crown

Next right is Encino Summit,

1/2 way down on the left, white rock with blue trim. A fleet of MB in the driveway.

Food is here. I'm at the house much of the day, and most evenings. HOWEVER... We have a party to go to on Thursday evening, and we will NOT be here this weekend.

I'll try to come by late this afternoon. Should we call before we come?

Bill S

Don't need to call - but then my assistant would have time to get her clothes back on...

I'll be here for the rest of the day - we go to bed around midnight.

Just an update - we are going out to dinner on Wednesday with a client - and will be out between 5 and about 7 or 7:30.

Someone should be here all day on Wednesday during the day.
