I have a 60 gallon cube and in the canopy, I have a single 250w MH. It is mounted in the center and I am going to purchase some T5 ights, 2 light configuration. The reason is I really don't feel like running MH lighting all day long (thinking 4- 6 hours in the lighting cycle). Knowing that this will be the lighting source for a good part of the day should I go with:

Tru 10K and Tru actinic bulb or
(2) Tru actinic bulbs?

The MH I am currently using is a 20K radium but am planning on switching it out (it's about time) for possibly a 12K or 14K bulb.

This is the retrofit kit I am looking at purchasing:

Thanks,

Reading your post you are not really looking to supplement but run your MH for 4 to 6 hrs and these 2 lamps for 10 hours? I would go with one of each 10K and 03 actinic from UV. I thought ACE (Mike) not Hobogoto was trying to sell this setup here on MAAST?
