Whats the max throughput that your overflow will allow?

Not sure, all I know is it's a single tube overflow.

1" single U tube should flow close to 400 gph and if the overflow box is 5 or 4 feet off the ground a mag 7 would suite you nicely.

you don't want a huge return pump i personally use a mag 5 on my 90g
if i was you i would use a mag 5/7 for your setup

Ditto: mag 5 or 7.

I say Mag 7 also. You could go larger to a 9 or 12 but not with your equipment you have right now. You'd risk over powering your overflow and flooding your house from more water returning to tank than what your overflow can handle.

I have a mag 18 on my 120 gallon system with a dual overflow...I would seriously recommend you get a dual overflow versus a single. I use to have a single and ran a mag 5 with it for about a year. Once I upgraded I wish I had done it much sooner.
FYI: My mag 18 is pushing a 5 foot head hieght and is matched perfectly with my overflow. At first I had to cut back on the mag 18 for the first couple of months then it slowly leveled out.

It also depends on you head height from the mag to the display. I have a single overflow on a 75 gallon, and a mag 7. I have about 3.5 feet of head height straight up, and I have to cut back more than half of the flow from the mag.
