is this normal in a sump?

In my sump, on the sides and bottome I have hundreds of sponges, fan looking worms, and other little creepy crawlers that i can not name... I was looking for pods so that I could buy a mandarin, but not sure if any of those are pods....anyway, is this normal?

I have them all over my Daughter's Display tank...(the sponges and fanworms etc) they are all harmless filter feeders and are very common....want to keep them out of your sump?....filter sock...problem solved!

you don't want to remove those, they are good! They are very eficient filterer.
