Good grief when did Purple Tangs get so expensive? $8 tax brings it to almost $100... durn thing better last a LONG time.

You could always buy a cheap Yellow tang and use a purple Magic Marker to color it!!!!

B&B had a nice one for 80. Oh yea in the early 90's they were over 200. Shipping from the red sea probably had something to do with it.

Baby Purple tangs look great because of the black spots. As they get older, they loose the balck spots and do not look good anymore IMO. I like a nice yellow tang in my tank more than a purple.

Anyone remember when Ed ordered all those purple tangs from Cali? They went for under $50 just this past year- the economy is a bummer.

Just thumbing through an old magazine in 1999 you could order online 12 scarlet reef crabs and 12 Astrea snails for $65. If anyone is thinking about the old days, you might want to think back to far.
