where is the best place to buy VHO bulbs??
anyone have any VHO ballasts... i need to run 8) 36in or 4) 72in

Hellolights (a sponsor) has some ARO ballasts on sale. I can't vouch for the quality. Icecaps SEEM to be the best - I own one.

For bulbs, they kill you on shipping. Drs Foster Smith seem to be ok - like $16 to ship 4.

Ditto, I'm running two of their 440 watt VHO ballasts. I had one die after 10 months and they replaced it, no questions asked.

how long are your VHOs lasting jose ??
i have always delt with the MH with t-5 actinic and am being told from (*^% at helo lights that ill need to replace the bulbs every six months...
im seriously thinking of going with PCs i can get 1 fixture with 2x96w (one actinic) with moon lights and fans for 80.00. so i figure ill buy four of them thats 96x 8 =768w over my 210 =3.66wpg which should be fine for softies and fish...wada ya think??
