my girlfreind dropped a bottle of windex in my tank
my girlfreind drooped a bottle of windex in my tank and she couldnt get ahold of me last night. so she tried to drain all the water out and fix it her self not knowing one thing about a saltwater tank. by time i got home all my fish and coral were dead i checked my salinity in the tank and it wouldnt even read any salt at all. i lost a foxface,2 maroon clowns, a scooter blennie, and a green chromis. my corals i lost were frogspawn, hammer, numerous zoas and mushrooms, and a 6-7 inch anemone all my liverock is probably deadrock now i have nowhere to get salt my lfs is not open today i had about 60 pounds of live rock......

When he got home his GF had gone to stay with her mother. LOL... She flat out got out of Dodge! I hope he's not too hard on her though, accidents happen and she did attempt to get a hold of him and then attempted to save the tank.

I wouldn't be mad, at least she tried her hardest to fix it.
The worst story I have ever heard was here, a few years back.
I forget who it was, but his girlfriend got mad at him, and threw something right through the front of his tank when he wasn't home. When he got back, all he saw was his broken aquarium and all of his dead livestock in the tank/on the floor.
He even posted a few pics.

Yeah that is a pretty bad story, i can just imagine how much water was all over the place. If that isn't a reason to reconcile i don't know what is LOL :at_wits_end::cry_smile::Timeout:

Yeah I remember that, but wasn't that one of the kids accidentally hitting the tank with a bat or something? We also have a member that had a "bleach incident" as part of a nasty argument. That Clorox will do a number on a tank. :(

I have to say this is Mike's greatest fear... that one of our girls would be really mad at us and decide to jack with the tank in some way. Between that and the occasional episode of "Snapped" the poor guy can hardly get a decent night's sleep.
