I've been looking into B-ionic products. They are a bit pricey. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get the best price or maybe another option for 2 part dosing. I'm new to this area of reefing so I need some help. Thanks, Adriana

Go through Bulk Reef Supply and their two-part kits.

I wish I had paid attention in chemistry class- So much for copying off your neighbor. Cheating doesn't pay.

Thanks for the links. Is this what you guys use?

I've been using the Bulk Reef Supply 2-part for about a year now after switching from B-Ionic for the same price reasons you mentioned. I spent about $80 (price + shipping) last Jan on their gallon bucket version. I'm running a 140-gal mixed reef with a light sps load, and I'm just now running out of Ca.

Thanks, I was just on their website. They have the starter kit for 60.00 including shipping. A total of 6 gallons (3-gallon per part). It seems like a good deal and it comes with gallons, pumps, and measuring cups.

Yep, that's the kit I got, too. I've been quite happy with it, and the pump nozzles are a GREAT alternative to pouring into a beaker or measuring cup like I was doing with B-Ionic.

I've been using Randy's 2 part since I started the hobby. I use Dupont Calcium Hardness Increaser for swimming pools from Lowes and Arm & Hammer baking soda. My dosing pumps and an ACJR dose 330ml of each a day.

What kind of pumps are those? How much are the replacement tubes and do you need to replace often? I can attest to the beauty of Bernie's tank. It is a spectacle! :shades:

Got the pumps from aptinstruments.com. This is the same manufacturer as the Drew's Doser Peristalic Dosing pump from bulkreefsupply.com. Replacement tubes are about $5. I have'nt had to replace the tubes yet. The manufacturer recommends replacing the tubes every 1 to 2 years depending on use.
