I just got my custom package back and now I want to get it, but I am on a limited budget and am not ordering enough to make shipping cost effective. So heres the group buy!

I want:
50 Dwarf Ceriths
25 Florida Ceriths
15 Nassarius Snails
1 five pack of mangroves
1 chaeto
1 ulva
1 Penny Macro

Total is $46.28 for mine, then the shipping.

Before Posting- I live in Georgetown and most people will order from the Austin area, so I was wondering if someone else could "host" the group buy (as in recieve the order). I was thinking that the Sunday before Thanksgiving week (Next week) would be the cuttoff date, so they would arrive before anyone left for holidays.

...are now offering FREE USPS Priority mail for all orders over $100, and FREE USPS Express Mail shipping for all orders over $150. Otherwise USPS Express is a flat rate of $27.95 , and Priority Mail is a flat rate of $8.95.

I May be able to add about $25 worth.

We might just do some different area GB because I have had interest from atleast 2 people in Sa austin and georgetown, all almost 100$, so I think we could start splitting the buy up. Also I am out another 5$, I need 10 less nassarius snails!

I didnt know this, but there is a "process" that has been laid out on the reefcleaner site for group buys. Everyone pays their own and it gets shipped to the same location. read on :)

Oh, and we should be sure to note on the form that the other maast guys are also placing an order for San Antonio and that they shouldnt confuse our group order with theirs.

I'm interested in adding to this also...just need directions on how to proceed. Has anyone set up an actual group order with reefcleaners that we can work off of? Seeing as there is a S.A. order maybe set it up as MAAST.AUS?

I will be bowing out gracefully. I do apologize but I have a few uncertainties with my "internet connection" and may be unable to host the buy myself. After noticing today that many items I had wished to receive are currently out of stock, I'll also not be ordering this time.

We can still continue the order, I have upped my order after emailing John at reefcleaners, and we qualify for free express mail shipping. He can ship the order on Monday and we should get it Wednesday. I can meet folks in Round Rock or Georgetown as necessary. I called the order

1. Because group buys are likely to qualify for free shipping, just tell your members to use the free shipping option "Group Buy". We will package all of their orders seperately, and mark them by the individuals name. So all you will have to do on pickup day is hand them the bags with their name on them. If for some reason your group buy does not qualify for free shipping, we will bill each of your members a pro-rata difference for the shipping costs. It will be based on total amounts of their orders.This has never been a problem to date.
2. Have your members mention the club or organization of the group buy in the note field during checkout.

It is that simple. Just post that you want to do a group buy at the website/forum/club you belong to, tell them to do their shopping here, and pay here and when the deadline arrives for us for that week's shipment all of those in are good to go. No need to front money, no need to add up totals, or answer emails, or talk to unsure shoppers. We will even send you a template post to help you explain the rules of the group buy to your members.

After much reshuffling and redoing my order (that maast discount rocks!!!), I just put my order thru. I work at hertz on I35 off Braker. I dont know who is receiving or so forth, but if someone cant get to them Wed when the person is bringing them, I could always keep someone else's order in the office. We do not close until 6pm. I know not the best to have stuff sitting in bags all day but got to work :D Thought I would throw that option out there. Its pretty convenient location.

Thanks for the quick response. Being in South Austin / Buda, I don't think it would be wise to attempt a trip on I35 on Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

Since I'm in need of a crew, I may setup something similar for next week for South Austin as the group buy option they offer is convenient.

If I could get mine at Brake and 35, that would help. I don't live in Austin, but I work downtown and most of my order is for my Cube at work. I know arrival time is unknown, but hopefully it will be early in the day. They usually let us off early. I can skip out for an hour to pick it up so let me know if my part can get to Braker...thanks!

The guy with reefcleaners just called me. He got to the P.O. and can't ship it. The P.O. in the accepting town (Georgetown) will not accept a live delivery with the holiday. I think they don't want to risk it croking when they screw up (like they always do).

Also, he's going to move my order to the South Austin group buy. Said it won't affect shipping...everyone will get free shipping. It will be a lot easier for me to get my goodies.

Nice guy...when I told him I forgot to do my maast discount, he said he'd just throw in a few extra critters to make up for it...
