can't see thumbnails

Sometimes when a member posts picture of an item I only see an X with a square around it. This has been happening for a few weeks. What am I doing wrong?

where are the thumbnails hosted?

if it is at work, it is because they posted on photobucket or some other photo host that your work network is blocking.
