Best fish store in austin?

What is the best fish store in austin to go to, I am not from the city, I have hurd about aqua dome and others but I would like to know which one I should visit if I make the 2 hour trip... san antonio is about half an hour to an hour more drive time so if you know any there that are even better please let me know :) thx

I agree! the three best places in Austin are River City Aquatics, Aquatek, Aquadome. they are the best in Austin, dont waste your time anywhere else!:applause:

Call ahead for when they get their orders in. The best fish and corals go fast. :bigsmile: Aquadome is closed on Mondays too.

there is not one,...drive the extra hr to SA and go to ALamo Aquatics or the one on 410 and vance jackson....texas tropicals i think.....

As in there is not a good shop in ATX? If so you are nuts. SA has some horrible shops. I'll never, ever set foot in Alamo Aquatics again. Wolf reef is a great shop when the orders come in. The last time I was there it was completely empty. I heard that Ed does not do much with the shop anymore, sad. Aquarium Designs and B&B Aquatics are really the only shops worth visiting. B&B really had a nice shop, very much akin to those in ATX. The thing about SA is that it seems like there are way more bad shops than good shops.

Even at that the shops in ATX are hands down much larger, have a huge selection, and generally better prices.

There are great shops in Austin and in SA. No two are a like, if they were it would be boring. Each has there niche in the market. Aquatek has great service and can fix anything. I have never been to the others but have heard great things about them here on MAAST.
