My corner tank has a 2 bulb 24 inch T5 fixture. I am replacing the actinic bulb for the first time. My question is, should I buy a 420nm or 460nm bulb? I don't know the difference. I hope to keep low light softies in the tank.
Thanks.

I believe its a difference in Blue. The 460 will be a lighter blue than the 420. The 420 will look almost like a black light blue (purple) and will make your corals glow flouresce better. I don't think it's an advantage to have the darker blue, but the coral look nicer.

Thanks for the quick response. Okay, then I will probably go with that. I've never had corals and if they look better under the 420, then thats what I'm getting
Thanks again apedroza.
