I decided instead of buying a new system, which I can't afford, I should just do some work on my current tank, which I currently am not a fan of. It is a 36 gallon corner with 5 sides, not curved glass. It is not drilled. I am afraid to drill it because I have no idea if it is tempered or not, is there any way I can find out?

The first thing I will do to this tank is add a HOB overflow, and a canopy.

Does anyone have any plans for making a corner tank canopy?
I have a drill press, and a table saw for tools.

i read somewhere that you can use polarized sunglasses to check if it is tempered. of course tank would need to be empty. if it is tempered it would look like a sunroof or back window of a car. i think...i know i read it somewhere.

I would buy R2 Moonlights for your system. Talk about an awsome purchase. These are the best of the best. Let me just tell you.......It will make your system look BAD A** at night.
