I have been researching greenhouse propagation for about a year and somehow by luck happened upon a spot here in San Marcos to do it. The greenhouse is already built and is aprox 20 x 10. It is heated by propane and is cooled by evaporative cooling fans, and will probably add in a geothermal cooling loop as the stuff is already in place. I will be doing this with one other member on MAAST. Ordering and collecting of equipment will start tommorow. Pics to follow tommorow. Also will be adding in cardinal breeding tanks to help the effort going on with them.

Sounds like a fun project. There is a LFS up here just outside of Detroit called Tropicorium that uses a giant greenhouse like building for propogation. They have supplement light here and there but the majority of the light is from the sun.

I know you said you will have geothermal cooling and large evaporative fans, but do you think you will still have any issues with temps when its 100+ outside during the summer?

no if the guys in Florida and alabama can do it I can to. I am sure it will be a battle, but one I am looking forward. I am going to get one of the bins set up soon and just run through for a while testing temps.
