I set up a 90 gallon corner tank yesterday.I had a regular 55g before that.I mostly had a a few softies,a few lps,and a couple of sps.i plan to get more sps when everything gets going well.the lights i had on the 55 were a coralife fixture with 2 175 watt SE metal halides, and 2 96 watt pc bulbs for actinics.obviously this fixture will not work on the corner tank.does anyone have any good suggestions on what would be a good metal halide setup?

We must be building 90s at the same time. hehe. I'm going with 2-250w mh retrofits in my hood. I might accent it with some actinics, but I haven't decided yet. I might wait to see how it looks first. I'm going to use 10k bulbs. Plus some moon lights.

are you doing a regulare rectangle 90?i just bought and setup a 90 gallon oceanic corner tank.i have a light fixture that i am trying to sell that would have worked perfect on a rectangle one,but this corner tank i'm gonna have to do something different with.i'm thinking about a lumenarc reflector with a 400 what 12,000k reflux bulb.i have one 175 over it now just to hopefully be enought to get by till i sell my fixture and buy whatever i decide to do for long term

I have a buddy in MD with a 90 gal corner with 2 of these over it and it looks great. He has 14K Phenix bulbs

Yep, Its a rectangular 90. Before I got the tank I picked up a used 400w PFO pendent, but the black bracing over the center is too wide and would have cast a large shadow. So I'm going with 2 250s instead.

I would do 2 of these! I have them on my tank and they are great for the money! They are small but cover a very nice area!!
