temporary electrical outlets

Is there anything out there that can be installed temporarily? I am looking for something that can supply multiple power outlets without having to permanently install them along the wall...i guess it is the same concept as surge protectors but not as unsightly...that way if and when i sell the house, all of the plugs won't be there anymore...

Temporary - Called an extension cord and a power strip. As far as unsightly, either find a power cord in a color that doesn't stand out as much, paint it, or put it in some small plastic molding across the bottom of the baseboard. Paint the molding to match if you want as well.

You can keep a power strip in a small rubbermaid bin and paint it to match the room. Run the cords neatly to it and then put a plant in front if it!

I was thinking something more long term...maybe running a main wire to a box...kinda like what Lonestar did on his stand a while back but placed on the wall somewhere...i could make a cabinet for it or something???

That would work. One wire in split off to a few outlets. Or you could look into a DJ powercenter which would be a good fit depending on the size of cabinet.

How far from the building circuit breaker are you? What all do you need to run(total amperage)? You could run a new circuit pretty easily depending on how your place is wired. A single 15 or 20 amp breaker should support everything that you need. Run romex from the breaker box and connected it to as many outlets as you need.

not far at all...the room is adjacent to the the utility room which runs up to the garage...i'm not very diy savvy...sounds kinda dangerous!

any electricians out there? was at home depot earlier and am even more perplexed...i'm guessing I will need between 12 and 15 outlets!!!
