best place to put open brian?

i just got a really nice open brian from AD. and i not to sure on were i should place him. if i put him in the sand my goby spills sand on him. do you think he will be ok there or should i move him to the rocks?

We have an open brain on the sand and had to move it to a less prominent spot because our diamond goby kept redecorating it with sand flocking. That is a hard argument to win (reminds me of arguing with a damsel about rock placement!)

Brains do not like that at all to be covered in sand, so you will need to move it! If you can, try to find another spot of sand that the goby is less interested in. Worked for us, anyway. If not, I guess experiment with low placement on the rocks?

When I had mine i had it on the rocks and it did fine.

What did Brian ever do to you guys. Why do you need to open him up?

You can always build a small rubble pile and lay the coral on it. Just be careful since their tissue tears easily.
