I recently posted a thread of asking why my corals look brownish and everybody said to get rid of the cheap ebay blubs. So i was wondering if anybody had some used phoenix, xm, or helios blubs laying around that they could sell or give away,so i could check out the difference.

The problem of throwing away the cheap Ebay bulbs and buying used good ones is that I bet they'll probably end up being about the same in terms of output and as a bulb ages the color changes too. Unless you're totally out of funds it would probably be worth buying new.

Despite that, I have an old Xm, just one. I remember it being 10k but it puts out kind of a blue tint. I'll give it to you, you just have to come get it.

what brand blubs do yall recomend

These bulbs are cheap and I have been using these bulbs http://www.aquariumhardware.com/index.php?l=product_list&c=13

for about 4 years off and on and they always work good. I have come pared them with XM, SPS, Reeflux & IceCap so far and have about the same coral growth out of them all
