Try feeding Frozen silversides too. Mine loved them. Its cheaper than Live. Feed him at least 3 feeders or so each time, keep him fat but dont overfeed.

when he is full he will have a slight bulge behind his main fin, almost always on the right side. Every other day will be fine, silversides, frozen whole krill, small chunks of brine shrimp ect.

I feed my little fuzzy dwarf lionfish once every 3 days or so....Mine will eat till it explodes! I feed mine a little at a time till I see a slight bulge or if it's a big fish then it's about 1/4 the size of my lion.

I too had a lionfish - he loved live food every other day; Agree with ScorpiNO - you better have a big tank!!!!

Mine didn't know when to stop eating...he was about the size of a fist and I bought like 25 live ghost shrimp with the thought that he would catch them when he was hungry over the course of about a month. I also thought he would have a bit of trouble catching them and they would keep him busy.
Yeah right!
He caught and ate ALLLLLLLLLL of them within like 10 minutes of releasing them into the tank.
LOL! Boy was I wrong. Mine was a pig...he grew too fast for the 55gallon I had and within 6 months he was back at the LFS.
Super cool fish to have. Good luck.
