Sunlight supply's new wave 44. Its a 4 bulb T5H0 fixture. Next week Im getting two 250watt MH retro fits to mount in the canopy. I was trying to sell this fixture but no one had any intrest so I think Im going to try and gut it and use it as actinic supplement!

Vey nice, you may want to change out that metal pipe hanger to plastic hook hanger(no corrosion).

Thank you for the compliments! The sides have doors for feeding and water testing access! The fans will be in the top! Plans for stocking will be mostly coral. Im going to do the normal reef fish! I would like to do alot of SPS! I still need to get reactors and such to keep stable conditions for the live stock! I am in the Army so money is tight and will make this a slower project than most of you! I will not buy CRAP!!! I want to do this right the first time! So all info and help are greatly appreciated!

Ok I did the lights on my lunch break so it was just kinda sloppy! I built the brackets this morning at work! The lights are about 6 inches off the top of the water. The pics are from my phone, sorry! The bulbs are 10K and they are very yellow and I plan on actinic supplement very soon! Other than that Im very happy with the setup! They are from Hellolights.com, the ballast are ARO the bulbs are XM10K! Let me know what you think!

very nice! you may want to add a fan inside the canpopy that point down across the surface of the water to increase evaporation to help cool the tank - that is if you arent running a chiller....

Well I have two 6'' fans I got for that reason! I just havent figured out how to mount them! They are kinda loud and Im not sure i want to hear the noise! The tank is in the living room! Im thinking about two 3'' fans blowing across the lights/water! Just have to figure out how! I was also looking into running a fan on the sump! Any Ideas what would be better? I think running fans on the lights would increase bulb life, but not sure!

What material did you use for the brackets on your lights? Alluminum? I'm thinking of doing the same thing.

I made the brackets! The lights are are pendants bolted to the brackets and just screwed to the to of the canopy! I could make some for you if you give me the specs! I live in Killeen! I wont charge you! I get the alluminum for free! You just have to come get them!

Thanks for the offer. That's kind of a drive from San Antonio for some brackets. It does give me some good ideas for making my own.

I have a question for you on your sump.
Did you DIY those baffles yourself or buy it that way? Is it glass or acrylic? I'm in the process of building my own sump right now. I have a tank, but I haven't put in the baffling yet.

Your tank is lookin' good by the way.

The tanks is a 30L glass tank I picked up used! I bought the acrylic and cut it myself. Its pretty easy! I used aquarium sealant to seal and hold them in place!

Thanks I have alot to do still, but the Army doesnt pay that well!
