Good link Solid. RO/DI is basically a 4 step water filter. As you progress thru each step, the h2o becomes more purified till you end up w/h2o that's around 99+% pure. These filters trap things like chlorine, nitrates, phosphates, silica, etc. RO/DI basically helps you maintain low nutrients in your tank and consequently fewer algea problems.
